music News Taking Back Sunday, 'Faith (When I Let You Down)'

Taking Back Sunday have released the first single, 'Faith (When I Let You Down),' off their self-titled album due out June 28. Longtime TBS fans have been eagerly-awaiting the release of new LP, which features the original 'Tell All Your Friends' line-up from 2002.

The Long Island natives stay true to their roots, but the production value has improved since their stint with the small Chicago-based Victory Records, thanks to producer Eric Valentine, who also produced their 2006 release, 'Louder Now.'

'Faith (When I Let You Down)' is filled with catchy minimalist guitar riffs and relies heavily on power chords, giving off the traditional emo/pop-punk vibes that fans have grown to love.

Frontman Adam Lazarra explains to someone that she can lose her faith in everything but makes a plea that she doesn't lose faith in him: "But when I let you down / Look past your doubt / Just please (please) / Don't lose your faith in me."

He continues reminding the subject of his affection, "I'm not going anywhere."

For those who have been listening to Taking Back Sunday since their inception, the single also features an acoustic version of 'Great Romances of the 20th Century,' a popular song from 'Tell All Your Friends.'
